WHEN THE NUMBERS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES
In the month of April 2019, ~16.7 Lakh vehicles were registered through Vahan. Two Wheelers (Non Transport) accounted for highest contribution of 12.8 lakh registrations, while among various ‘Fuel Type’, registration of Petrol vehicles was maximum at 14.1 lakhs.
Sarathi enabled issuance of ~15 Lakh driving licenses in the Country, comprising of new licenses (5.58 lacs) as well as various transactions on existing licenses (9.43 lacs). Additionally, ~ 10 Lakh Learner’s Licenses were also issued during the period.
The total revenue collected through Vahan was ~Rs. 4,513 crores, and that through Sarathi was ~Rs 158 crores. The figures for other applications/services are equally impressive.
