NEW MILESTONES IN AUGUST 2019

Convenience to citizens, businesses and government departments alike, along with efficiency & transparency in the various processes pertaining to RC and DL related services- has been the cornerstone of eTransport Mission Mode Project (MMP), with tremendous success already achieved.

There have been constant developments in the various project modules viz. Vahan, Sarathi, eChallan, mParivahan, Analytics, etc., leading to remarkable achievements in the last month as well.

Key achievements for the month of August are listed, as below:

Overview
  • Centralized Vahan 4.0 rolled out in 1,182 RTOs
  • Centralized Sarathi 4.0 rolled out in 1,123 RTOs
  • 75 lakhs+ downloads of mParivahan Mobile App, till date
  • eChallan implementation underway in Transport and Traffic departments of 17 states/ UTs, with a total of 1.36 Cr+ challans, generating revenue of Rs. 2,044 Crores.
  • PUCC application has been implemented in 15 states. 19.62 Lakh PUCC already issued by 4670 PUCC centres (registered).
Details
  • Vahan 4.0:
    • Mandating of fees of Rs. 25000 or 10% of cost of registration (if registration no. is fancy) to retain the old vehicle registration number, as per amendment of Delhi Transport Department
    • Enablement of Document Management System (DMS) in West Bengal, and for some RTOs in Tamil Nadu at dealer end.
    • Vahan Web Service to GSTN, Department of Finance in Punjab, Indian Post and Chhattisgarh Khanij (Mining Department)
    • Initiation of Check Post - ODC (Over Dimension Consignment) module in Gujarat
    • Enablement of online payment for Fancy No. in Gujarat and Chandigarh
    • Introduction of new web service to fetch VLTD details using IMEI number
    • Non-Govt. institutes to make payment through NTRP payment gateway, for paid NR services
    • Facility for State Coordinator to view daily and monthly reports on total number of vehicle searched by merchants using registration/chassis/ engine numbers.
    • Implementation of feature to display information on file flow for new registration and dealer registration
    • Enablement of SMS and email alerts for Information Insurance Bureau (IIB) for uploading bulk insurance data
  • Sarathi 4.0:
    • Launch of Sarathi 4.0 in the NL01 RTO of Kohima by the Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, Transport Department
    • Integration of DL Services application submission with the OTP Authentication process
    • Changes in DL Club Module to skip Form 7-Fee, and in the flow of DL Print, based on DL data
    • Addition of new module for sending customized SMS
    • Extension of facility to issue LL through colleges in Haryana
    • Extension of issue of AEDL along with issue of LL, in Gujarat and Kerala
    • Introduction of facility for public to view documents through OTP
    • Addition of option in dashboard to display enforcement statistics
  • Analytics:
    • Enhancements related to UI design & Security features in android based Fitness App
    • Improvements in synchronization of data with Vahan4 (using Hadoop ecosystem)
    • CSC authencation and DB integration completion for UWIN App
  • Vahan Online Services:
    • Enablement of ‘No Objection Certificate’ service in all 38 RTOs of Bihar
  • eChallan:
    • Inauguration of Virtual Court in Faridabad, Haryana, by Hon'ble Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana, through Video Conference
    • Launch of eChallan for transport enforcement officials in Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu, by Hon’ble Minister of Transport, Tamil Nadu
    • Successful Pilot in DTO, Kamrup, Assam
    • VC based awareness programme for officers of Transport Department & Traffic Police Department of Arunachal Pradesh
    • Completion of implementation for Greater Chennai Traffic Police and Tamil Nadu Police
    • eChallan Implemention in 17 States: Bihar, Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, Meghalaya, Odisha, Punjab, Puducherry, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh

    • ARAI approval on 21 PUCC Manufacturers and 45 Device Models, till date
    • 4670 PUCC centres registered till date
