NEW MILESTONES IN DECEMBER 2019

eTransport Mission Mode Project (MMP) has enabled convenience, efficiency and transparency in the service delivery of various transport services, thereby enriching the experience for citizens, businesses as well as government departments.

The effective implementation of the project entails various advancements and enhancements in the various project modules viz. Vahan, Sarathi, eChallan, mParivahan, Analytics, PUCC, etc., among others, along with introduction of new modules/ components altogether, from time to time.

Some key milestones for the month of December are listed, as below:

Overview
  • Centralized Vahan 4.0 rolled out in 1,215 RTOs
  • Centralized Sarathi 4.0 rolled out in 1,141 RTOs
  • ~1.43 Crore downloads of mParivahan Mobile App, till date
  • eChallan implementation underway in Transport and Traffic departments of 20 States/ UTs, with a total of 1.98 Crore challans. Total Penalty collected amounts to ~ Rs. 1,963 Crores
  • PUCC application has been implemented in 17 States. 1.58 Crore+ PUCC already issued by ~12,901 registered PUCC centres

Vahan 4.0:

    • Prestigious CSI SIG eGovernance Award 2019 to Vahan 4, under the Central Government Projects category
    • Enablement of blocked dealer staff do non-monetary and limited transactions like account statements, disposal of old entries etc. on old vehicles
    • Functionality for users to view and select routes in other state (as per agreement on routes between the states), for stage carriage permit
    • Integration of Permit modules (for Issue and renewal) with Challan Service for displaying all pending challans against a vehicle
    • Development of Dashboard for Vehicle Location Tracking Device (VLTD) (https://vahan.parivahan.gov.in/vltdmaker/vahan/dashboard.xhtml) - statistics on VLTD manufacturers, devices, fitment centres and fitment of VLTDs
    • SLD Maker web application in Assam and Tamil Nadu. Conduction of trainings to RTO staff
    • Functionality for PUC Certificate issuance to other category vehicles
  • Sarathi 4.0:

    • Implementation of SMS format (suggested by MoRTH) in DL Approval process
    • Implementation of Single Receipt Collection, for Odisha
    • Refresher course for DL renewal, as per amendment in CMV Act
    • Facility for uploading the inspection report of Driving School
    • Inclusion of Online / Offline Driving School Form Submission and New DSL Approval processes
  • eChallan:

    • Implementation in 20 States: Assam, Bihar, Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Odisha, Punjab, Puducherry, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh
    • Generation of 1.98 Crore eChallans (till date) , with 15.68 Lakh challans issued in the month of December 2019
    • Total Penalty collection (till date) of ~ Rs. 1963 Crores, with Rs. 178 Crores collected in this month
  • PUCC:

    • Implementation in 17 states: Bihar, Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Mizoram, Odisha, Puducherry, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal
    • Total PUCC issued: 1.58 Crore+
    • ARAI approval on ~23 PUCC Manufacturers and ~52 Device Models
    • ~12,901 PUCC centres activated/ registered
  • Vahan Online Service:

    • Enablement of Tax recovery service for all the RTOs of Maharashtra
    • Enablement of Duplicate Permit and Renewal of Permit services for all the RTOs of Maharashtra
  • Analytics:

    • Incorporation of functionality for insurance, permit data in Vahan Alert Dashboard
    • Migration of Vahan Online RTO index data in HDFS through Hadoop Ecosystem
  • m-Vahan(An Android app for enablement of quick and easy process for vehicle fitness):

    • QR code scanner for searching applications like Fitness, Change of Address, etc.
  • Trainings:

    • Refresher training of Transport Project in Haryana
    • Vahan and Sarathi Trainings in Maharashtra
