NUMBERS IN MAY 2019
For May 2019, ~17.9 Lakh vehicles were registered through Vahan. Two Wheelers (Non-Transport) contributed with maximum 13.9 Lakh registrations among the various vehicle types. On the other hand, Petrol vehicles led the registrations at 15.30 Lakhs, among the ‘Fuel Type’ category of vehicles.
Sarathi enabled issuance of ~17.3 Lakh driving licenses in the Country, comprising of new licenses (6.4 Lakhs) as well as various transactions on existing licenses (10.9 Lakhs). Furthermore, ~ 11.5 Lakh Learner’s Licenses were also issued during the period.
The total revenue collected through Vahan 4 was ~Rs. 4,094 crores, while that through Sarathi 4 was ~Rs 177.7 crores. Some component-wise key figures for the month, are as follows:
