The e Transport Project provides a host of services pertaining to RC and DL, which are complemented by new initiatives, state specific requests, migration to new technology platforms, in a an ongoing manner.

Some of the noteworthy developments are mentioned below:

• One of the key objectives of the projects is to bring uniformity and standardization in the delivery of various online RC & DL services across the country. One step in this direction is the revamping of Smart Cards for DL and RC, moving to a standard format across the country. Gazette notification regarding the same is to be issued soon.
• Another key endeavor is the initiative for launch of unified software for Pollution Under Control Certificate (PUCC) generation. The software, integrated with Vahan as well as the API of device manufacturers, is in the testing process.
• The high trajectory growth of the Transport Project is well supported by sufficient data/ application security and redundancy measures. A new DR site for the project based out of NIC Bhubaneswar Centre, shall be functional shortly.
