NEW MILESTONES IN NOVEMBER 2019

The eTransport Mission Mode Project (MMP) has truly empowered the citizens, businesses as well as government departments by bringing the much needed convenience in availing various transport services, coupled with the efficiency & transparency in the various processes.

The persistent pursuit of NIC & MoRTH for effective implementationhave led to continuous advancements and enhancementsin the various projectmodules viz. Vahan, Sarathi, eChallan, mParivahan, Analytics, PUCC, etc., among others.

Some key milestones for the month of November are listed, as below:

Overview
  • Centralized Vahan 4.0 rolled out in 1,204 RTOs
  • Centralized Sarathi 4.0 rolled out in 1,138 RTOs
  • ~1.34Cr downloads of mParivahan Mobile App, till date
  • eChallan implementation underway in Transport and Traffic departments of 17 states/ UTs, with a total of 1.8 Cr+ challans. Total Penalty collected amounts to ~ Rs. 1,865 Crores
  • PUCC application has been implemented in 16 states. 1.37 Crore+ PUCC already issued by ~10,492 registered PUCC centres

Vahan 4.0:

    • Integration with Android App (m-Vahan) for Vehicle Inspection- inspection officer can take pictures& upload against the fitness renewal application for a vehicle, for view of Verification/Approval officer
    • Development of Faceless services like Hypothecation Termination and Issue of Duplicate RC, including SMS alerts tusers in case of any issues
    • Development of High Security Registration Plates(HSRP) web service for updation of fitment in Vahan
    • Glive of Online Checkpost in Tripura
    • Enablement of RTO officers to set routes, of permit endorsement, falling in other RTOs of the same state
    • Integration of Permit module with insurance service
    • Development of a module, at Dealer End for new registration, allowing selection of a non-fancy registration number against payment of fee
    • National Permit- registration number collection and its persistence as per Vahan format
    • Facilitation of an API tstreamline transaction details with the Electronic Transaction Aggregation & Analysis Layer (etaal) service
    • Addition of 50 Retrofitting Speed Limiting Device centres in the system, in UP
    • Training RTO officials from Assam, for retrofitmentsewa (CNG Maker)
    • Training RTO officials from Assam and Tamil Naidu, for Speed Limiting Device (SLD Maker)
  • Sarathi 4.0:

    • Introduction of new API to fetch first available camp appointment date (For CM Dash Board)
    • Period wise Scheduler program for pushing eChallan data into Sarathi through eChallan API
    • Completion of migration of documents to ECS Server
    • Introduction of document verification under Faceless service
    • Implementation of Dispatch return service, in Uttar Pradesh
    • Enablement of DL extract service under Faceless mode, in Gujarat
    • Addition of various Faceless Transaction features under DL service request, like:
      • Updation of Mobile Number
      • Display of only last 4 digits of the Mobile Number
      • Display of appropriate message on the DL Service Request page, if the DL holder is eligible for any Faceless transaction
      • Printing of appropriate message on the Acknowledgement Receipt if the DL Holder has applied for Faceless Services
      • Display of message in application status
    • Change in DL Hazardous validity to 3 Years
  • eChallan:

    • Implementation in 18 States: Assam (5 districts),Bihar, Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, Meghalaya, Odisha, Punjab, Puducherry, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh
    • Generation of 1.8 Cr + eChallans (till date),with 14.10 Lakh challans issued in the month of November 2019
    • Total Penalty collection (till date) of ~ Rs. 1865 Crores, with Rs. 153 Crores in the month of November 2019
  • Vahan 4.0:

    • Implementation in 16 states: Bihar, Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Mizoram, Odisha, Puducherry, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal
    • Total PUCC issued:1.37 Crore+
    • ARAI approval on ~22 PUCC Manufacturers and ~57 Device Models
    • ~10,492 PUCC centres activated/ registered
  • m-Vahan:

    • An Android app to enable quick and easy process for vehicle fitness
    • Geofencing of Authorised Fitness centres (around 200 metres) removes the possibility of fake vehicle fitness, fitness at unauthorised centres/ remotely
    • Uploading of latestpictures of vehicle (of front, rear, sides, interior) undergoing fitness test, by Fitness Officer, will enable increased transparency
    • Validation of Vehicle statistics by Fitness Officer- PUCC, Brake, Suspension, Tyre, etc. parameters
