NEW MILESTONES IN SEPTEMBER 2019

Convenience to citizens, businesses and government departments alike, along with efficiency & transparency in the various processes pertaining to RC and DL related services- has been the cornerstone of eTransport Mission Mode Project (MMP), with tremendous success already achieved.

Constant advancements in the various project modules viz. Vahan, Sarathi, eChallan, mParivahan, Analytics, etc., have led to remarkable achievements in the last month as well.

Some key milestones for the month of September are listed, as below:

Overview
  • Centralized Vahan 4.0 rolled out in 1,186 RTOs
  • Centralized Sarathi 4.0 rolled out in 1,324 RTOs
  • ~1.2 Cr downloads of mParivahan Mobile App, till date
  • eChallan implementation underway in Transport and Traffic departments of 17 states/ UTs, with a total of 1.5 Cr+ challans. Total Penalty collected/ pending amounts to ~ Rs. 2,200 Crores
  • PUCC application has been implemented in 16 states. 65.5 Lakh+ PUCC already issued by 6990 PUCC centres (registered).

  • Vahan 4.0:
    • 'Fancy Number' Application awarded the Gems of Digital India Awards, 2019
    • Integration of Fitness centers with various RTOs in Jharkhand and Assam
    • Creation of facility for State Admin to view uploaded documents
    • Revision of Fitness recheck fees to zero for auto rickshaw, in Delhi (as per notification)
    • Exemption of fine for Black listed vehicle (theft & damaged case) at ‘Surrender Permit Fee’ stage
    • User creation on Paid NR portal for 8 Banks, 2 Transporters and 3 NBFCs, and on NR portal for Superintendent of Police, Andhra Pradesh
    • API for:
      • Monthly report: total number of vehicle searched by merchants using registration number, chassis number and engine number parameters
      • National Permit Dashboard on total number of permits, with total revenue- state wise/ RTO wise Yearly/ Till date
    • Enablement of Calendar year as well as Financial year view for Dashboard
    • SLD Maker: multiple reports for state admin including list of RFCs, list of RTO users, list of SLD manufacturers, etc..
    • Sikkim: Initiation of Checkpost module
    • Uttarakhand: Android app to verify tax receipts shown by other state vehicles owners/drivers
    • Nagaland: Vahan 4.0 rolled out in Kohima RTO
    • Meghalaya: Implementation of Vahan 4 for issuing , renewal of state, inter-state permits, All India Tourist Permit, etc. activities for passenger and goods vehicle, by the State Transport Authority.
  • Sarathi 4.0:
    • New module in STALL to record the absence of the applicant
    • Implementation of the latest CMV Amendments:
      • Relaxing the jurisdiction while applying to any RTO within the State
      • Relaxation in qualification requirement for the addition of Transport category of Class of Vehicle
      • Incorporation of new DL validation calculation in Fresh DL approval
      • Changes in issue of LL, in case of DL revalidation
    • Addition of PSV badge along with LL/DL application submission
    • Migration of Gujarat to unified version of Sarathi COV
    • Implementation of LLs issuance at Camps in Odisha and West Bengal
    • Integration with e-Challan web service
    • West Bengal: configuration of RTOs for CAMP mode for issuing Learner License in any remote location, away from the RTO
    • Karnataka:
      • Integration of SAKALA (time bound services to citizens) for selected SARATHI 4 services
      • Integration of SARATHI 4 Services through B1,K1 ( Bangalore One - B1 , Karnataka One -K1) CSCs. Release of services to public in 116 centres, including Bangalore One and Karnataka One
  • Analytics:
    • Improvements in synchronization of data with Vahan 4, using Hadoop ecosystem
    • Vahan Fitness App (android based): UI design enhancement, IMEI security implementation & Client Level testing
    • UWIN App: CSC authentication and Redis database code integration
  • eChallan:
    • 'eChallan' Application awarded the Gems of Digital India Awards, 2019
    • Implementation completed in 17 States: Bihar, Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, Meghalaya, Odisha, Punjab, Puducherry, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh
    • Demo of eChallan App (Web and Mobile) to SP, Traffic of Arunachal Pradesh and ACP (Traffic), Pune, and other officials of the Pune Police Department
    • Generation of 1.5 Cr + eChallans (till date) , with 13.50 Lakhs issued in the month of September 2019
    • Total Penalty collection (till date) of 1564 Crores, with 118 Crores in the month of September 2019
  • PUCC:
    • 'PUCC' Application awarded the Gems of Digital India Awards, 2019
    • Implementation completed in 16 states: Bihar, Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Mizoram, Odisha, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal
    • Total PUCC issued : 65.5 Lakhs+
    • ARAI approval on ~22 PUCC Manufacturers and ~55 Device Models
    • ~6990 PUCC centres activated/ registered
  • Demo/ Trainings:
    • Vahan 4.0 Demo and Training to officials and staff of one RTO in Nagaland
    • Demo of eChallan App (Web and Mobile) to SP, Traffic of Arunachal Pradesh and ACP (Traffic), Pune, and other officials of the Pune Police Department
