The e Transport Project is an array of various G2G, G2C & G2B services, centered around RC and DL. The mode and efficiency of providing these services are regularly improved, by ensuring intervention of innovative solutions/ approaches, along with requisite upgrades in processes & technology.

• A web-based system has been developed by NIC for integrating the Speed Limiting Device (SLD)/ Speed Governor data of vehicles and product inventory of the SLD manufacturers, with Vahan 4.0. States are in process of carrying out the integration exercise, which will ensure consistency in SLD model details and overall transparency in the system.
• Similarly, to ensure safety of citizens, especially women, another web-based system has been implemented by NIC in Vahan 4.0. The Vehicle Location Tracking Devices (VLTD), to be installed in all the transport vehicles, except auto rickshaw & e rickshaw, shall enable the tracking of their locations in real time. All the states across the country will be taking up the requisite integration.
• Reinforcement of citizen convenience, by integration of digital wallets in the e Transport application(s). To start with, popular wallet ‘Paytm’ has been implemented in the eChallan app in Chennai and Noida, and currently testing of the same is going on.
