Himachal Chief Minister launches eParivahan Services

Shimla , February 25, 2021:
Shri Jai Ram Thakur, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Himachal Pradesh launched the eParivahan services in the Transport sector in all RLAs/ RTOs of the State on February 25, 2021 in an impressive function at Shimla. Shri Bikram Singh Thakur, Hon’ble Minister for Transport, Industries, Food and Supplies, Shri Suresh Bhardwaj, Hon’ble Minister of Urban Development, TCP, Housing, Shri Suresh Kashyap, MP, Shri Anil Khachi, Chief Secretary, Shri KK Pant, Principal Secretary (Transport), Dr RN Batta, Advisor to the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Shri Sandeep Kumar, Managing Director, HRTC were present on the occasion.Hon’ble Transport Minister informed that Himachal Pradesh is among the pioneer states in introducing ICT in transport sector for the benefit of citizens and transporters.
Shri Bhupinder Pathak, NIC HP Transport Coordinator gave a presentation on eParivahan services to the transporters, CSC operators and other facilitators. He informed that the services -

can be availed by citizens, transporters through various modes without physically visiting the offices. He also informed that the
eParivahan services can be availed from facilitation centers set up in RTO/ SDM officers, Common Service Centres (LokMitra Kendras) or directly from the Internet. The main services include, drivers/ learner/ conductor licenses, booking of date and time slot for driving test, fitness of vehicle, token tax payment, special permits, state and goods carriage permits etc. He informed that the Integrated Road Accident Database application is proposed to be implemented in the state which will help to reduce the accidents in future.
Shri Anupam Kashyap, Director, Transport and Civil Aviation, Government of Himachal Pradesh highly appreciated the role of NIC at the national and state levels in providing these eServices online.
